Crafted From Earth, Shaped By Hand

About the Artist

“I began my ceramics career in high school and fell in love with the craft. I graduated from Columbia College Chicago in 2024 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. After college, I worked at Firehouse Art Studio in Chicago's Little Italy, where I learned about studio operations, running and firing electric kilns, and assisting with ceramics in early educational environments. I moved to Estes Park, Colorado, and worked as an outdoor educator in the Rocky Mountains. I set up a little studio in my room and fired my portfolio pieces in the local YMCA kiln.”

Artist Statement

“The majority of my art is a direct reflection of the areas I call home. From the limestone riverbanks of Northern Illinois to the arid high elevations of Estes Park, Colorado. My pieces reflect the patterns and textures I've learned from my environments. I create objects that are not isolated and ornamental but rather a direct snapshot of what can be seen outside carried inside the home.

I focus on hand-built and thrown practical pieces. Whether you start your day with a cup of tea or coffee or end it with burning incense, for my pieces to be part of the rituals of daily life is incredibly rewarding.”
